Small update, Obscure Gamers will be teaming up with the team behind Console Variations on April 9th & 10th. We'll be showcasing unseen unreleased games, dumping builds, repairing brutally murdered dev kits and more! If you haven't got a ticket yet, feel free to grab one on OLL's site!

We've spotted a few people requesting rom/downloads's for retail systems, we'd just like to remind without telling anybody off that we do not support/allow retail data to be posted. If you own retail stuff and wish to sell your original copy this is fine clearly, but not copies. We have to respect companies and their rights, more so with our goals to become a registered preservation group. The ObscureGamers forum is making a comeback! After multiple requests, we've decided to cave in and are currently testing functionality to see how it goes. It's been nearly two years since the initial closure, so we heavily encourage you to change your account credentials to something more secure that isn't used elsewhere. Recently we banned a user for trolling and being racist/breaking site rules, sadly they got butthurt and decided to pay Russian human spammers to target the site. We had to disable registration as I was too busy to fully fix the issue until now. The user was using a ton of Russian ISP's meaning banning the IP ranges wasn't helping and we were banning around 6 ranges a day from multiple Russian ISP's. The most annoying part to this was them sending porn spam via PM, meaning we couldn't detect this until it was too late. This is why we have changed the accounts around on site. When you join now the new user group will be probation. It means you will not be able to pm/post profile messages until after 10 non-spam posts. (Existing accounts...

A week ago we launched a fundraiser for an unreleased PlayStation console, Today we're proud to announce we have saved one of two unreleased Xperia Play 2 phones, also codenamed the "PSP Phone" until PlayStation didn't give it's full blessings so it became the Xperia Play (also known as the Zeus in development). Things didn't go all the plan, the reshipper in Hong Kong told us DHL wouldn't insure it if below 5KG which seemed stupid, so we paid another £55 postage on top of the £170 we already paid. Then we found out they switched to UPS, and UPS let us change the date to last Friday 13th, as all Friday 13th's go, it was a disaster and no unreleased PSP phone arrived, the tracking updated Sunday and on Monday morning we got a lovely...

As much as I've always been against ads, and with donations lowish compared to the past, we've decided to add adverts to OG. This is part of our plan to keep OG alive for the future, while nobody likes them we've made it so donators don't see them as a perk of this and for their support. More changes are coming, and we'll post soon about these.

OG will be at OLL '22! OG will be showcasing developer hardware, prototype hardware, restoration and showing importance of video game preservation live.
