Hello!

You kind people have already helped me resolve a couple of questions for me so I am hoping you can also help with the following.

I'm making an extreme Windows XP build for Fun/Boredom. I have some pretty good specs so far and I really want a sound card instead of the onboard sound on the EVGA 680i Motherboard.

I have the following two in my possession:

https://microdream.co.uk/creative-sound-blaster-x-fi-sb0460-7-1-channel-pci-sound-card.html

http://txmicro.com/creative-labs-sound-blaster-audigy-2-pci-sound-card-sb0240/
(it comes with an additional joy stick port)

Does any one have any idea which is better? The second on has a lot more ports (joystick/TAD?/CD_in/SB1394?/CD_SPDIF) and thats swaying me to utilize this one.

I think the X-Fi is better. It's newer, and a more powerful and capable card overall.

The X-Fi is much better for XP-era gaming.
The Audigy 2 would be better suited to a PC that needs support for Windows and DOS games IIRC it has a driver for supporting that whereas the X-Fi is pure Windows only.
