.BMR file extension

Is anyone familiar with the PlayStation file extension .BMR? I tried looking it up but file extension sites list it as something that can't possibly be relevant. I was thinking it may be some sort of image format. It's part of an unusual PSP dump. If anyone is familiar with this format, do you know how to view/open it? I thought maybe the official PSP sdk would mention it but that format isn't mentioned anywhere in the sdk.

eh, it's nothing standard. proprietary format... part of the data seems to possibly be some form of a 3d model. The rest of the data I'm unsure of

Anything out there that could possibly open or extract it? I have one that's menu, and one that's scene player. Both BMR

It would be a wise idea to try and find any software/game for the psp which uses the same BMR1 header, then you can probably figure out more

It would be good to know where that file comes from. Also, as marik said, if you can find that file format in other games it would make things easier.

The UMD is meant to play video files over a network. Specifically "host0:". These BMR files are somehow meant to interact with video files. What's interesting is that in robotics, bmr files are migration_rules. Look here:
