• Hey, Guest!

XenForo 2.2 is coming soon, it's bringing many new features such as a PWA app for OG etc. It also comes with the drawback of more costs to update themes/some addons. It'll also remove access to some older browsers which'll suck but these shouldn't be used as their security sucks.

With the costs already looming we decided to improve OG's look with a new fancy theme that gives OG a more gamer feel. This has cost us only slightly more than it would have cost to renew the current theme and runs alot nicer.

You can beta test it here: Linky. (Please note only dark is live, light will come once issues are ironed out.)

If the current theme breaks on update we will end of life it, but we'll make something looking similar based on the default free theme so don't fret!

Primarily to capture a 3d model of it, I havnt come across one yet, secondly once I have the general shape I wanted to try model an alternate version to fit a raspberry pi and an apple superdrive to effectively bring the following render to life. I was thinking a pi configured to constantly watch the state of the drive and start something like pcsx rearmed on insert, hopefully read the real disk. Also want to produce my own snes expansion header connectors, might have a crack at modelling it as well.

Slightly ambitious but it would be a cool project

Did he make the Sony controller himself? Probably using the guts from the SFC controller, but still.

I hand model everything, only 3d scanner I have Is the kinect but it's too low res. Modelling is good fun though. Will be open source when done

that is cool. is it 3D cad or normal 3d modelling?
Also how do you messure different things like radii, edges and so on? Some special equipment?
I ask because I do 3D Cad and have built a NEC PC Engine for example.

Hey goemon, I solid works or sometimes fusion 360, I use a set of digital callipers for most measurements, I also have a radius guage. For some simple parts with odd curves I'll occasionally throw them in my flatbed scanner to get the general shape and use it as a reference image on a given sketch plane

Everything boils down to stls when I'm done
