Hi all,

Sorry for not providing any updates in the past couple of months. Things kind of went in the way. The time has come to claim ownership of a very important piece of Sony and PlayStation history. It's a PlayStation 3 kiosk! I believe the one I own used to be a 60GB PlayStation 3 which was used to promote the PlayStation 3 in 2007, just in time for its launch in March. The best part? It was free! (I'm not joking) The kiosk operates as intended, without the TV or a PlayStation 3 hooked up. (it shows all the lights on the exterior and the fan operates at its maximum output. Overall condition is great for its age (of course, scuffs and scratches will be common to find due to the aforementioned age), however I've run into some problems. Someone cut the cable of what I believe is the power cable for the TV (it even came with the original Sony Bravia) (can this be fixed by replacing the cable or repairing it by placing a new connector on it?). Some of the screws are missing for the display and one is stuck in one of the holes and the last issue being that it wasn't repurposed correctly. (it was a Fat model era kiosk that was then repurposed as a Slim model one; it still has the original writing on the back. Since I wish to bring this kiosk to its former glory, would it be possible for anyone to possess a 60GB dummy unit (the console that is exposed at all times; they have no functionality whatsoever), a door with the original writing on it (the Spider-Man writing), two SIXAXIS (not required immediately, but would be great to bring this kiosk to its former glory; I dislike the Dualshock 3's to be honest) and a sign with the original PlayStation 3 writing and a red LED (since it now has a yellow one; I thought the original Fat model kiosks possessed a red LED?)

If anyone can get in touch with me regarding if it's worth restoring, I would be highly appreciative! I'll send some pictures for reference. (I'll probably send this to the Repair section of this forum as well)
