PS2 Identify DMS3 Modchip

Trying to get information about the DMS modchip on the right. It is marked v.9 on it's left side. I can not seem to find much information about the existence of a v.9 marked chip. I came across it in my misc parts. I do not recall where I got it, as it was around 16 years ago. Looking for any diagrams, firmware, and any personal knowledge or experience. Thanks!
