Recently installed an FRAM chip bought from retrogamerstuff.com according to this guide: https://www.retrorgb.com/saturn-fram-mod-revisited.html. Same motherboard layout as the one pictured there. Have connected all the legs except 22 and 28, and connected those to ground and 5v respectively. Have checked all connections for continuity.
Once I boot up my system, that's when the trouble starts. According to the memory manager there is save memory installed, which I can clear without error but it keeps showing up as "Memory avalable: 0". If I boot up a game like Dragon Force, I get prompted that the memory installed has not been initialized.
I'm at my wit's end here, what could possibly be the issue? Any help or input would be much appreciated!
