When the kit is powered on does it boot to the dev menu or a wii menu?
Have you installed the SDK and setup the environmental variables etc?

According the SDK doc's, I can see that SDK 2.1 and SDK 2.4 patch 6 support NDEV 2.0 and 2.1, whereas SDK 3.2 patch 3 and upwards say it only supports the commercially released versions of the NDEV.

I don't have any SDK's between 2.4 and 3.2, so I am not sure which was the last SDK to support the prototype NDEV.

VERY impressive. I especially like the custom tower. I hope you're planning to submit photos to the game dev wiki. I've never even seen photos of some of that hardware.

Got the IS-Character with the DT3200 Draw board from Seiko. Happy to complete my IS Collection. Still need the SCGC AD software from IS to draw with the kit.
Next week hopefully get a huge desk where i can setup "all" my kits and host PC for it.

So many rare items all in one place. It's like a mini museum.

That Xbox alpha tower though. I've always wanted one of those. Put me on your list if you ever sell.

Great collection!

I update my PS1 Dev PC with a Geforce256 because the voodoo5500 went to another system. I tryed the geforce 2 MX but got me conflicts with the H2500.

Also switched the cpu to a P3 600MHz with 100MHz FSB, PS devkits (PCI) dont like 133MHz FSB OC.
The Asus P2B did a impressive job to run this setup without conflicts! For the CD Emu and H201A ISA boards IRQ saved. They also work without problems.

  • H2500 PS1 PCI Devboard add H2510 and Dev Controller Ports
  • H201A PS1 ISA Graphic Artist Board
  • H800 PS1 PCI Sound Artist Board
  • S2000 PSY-Q ISA CD-Emulator with Dongle (without hardware dongle you cant use PSY-Q software, works also on the saturn kit)
  • SB Audigy 2ZS PCI GOLD with Win98 WDM driver
  • Geforce256 AGP

The win98 driver for the H800 are beta they dont really work..
I got different releases, the H800 is like the H1500 sonys last child on the Ps1.
you also have a h800? i really love the board and even more to see it working. Win98 dont reg it correct only with ? And this only with the beta stuff

I also try the beta driver but as you said it doesn't work. It's sad.
Do you have an scsi hdd for your dtl s2020 ?
I use an scsi2sd and it works well on my setup.

servel hdds, but the psy-q software only run with the dongle. Wonder how you boot it, you also have the dongle? I crosstest the interface with and without dongle, just ask.

I don't use any dongle for my setups. I use cdbios driver and manage the hdd with cddisk and buildcd. For program launch, I run selmu and cdexec as written in official documentation.
The only problem on my dtl h2700 setup is that most time the cddisk tool don't detect the hdd. I think its a conflict between the cd emu card and the motherboard (asus TX97) because I have the same problem with my dtlh2500 setup (p2b ds) and an usb mouse. The dtl s2020 is a very bad hardware lol.

H2500 is a beast yes, i also run cddisk and so on, but with the run command it ask for the dongle. The problems you tell will be gone if you run the exe with the dongle, the emu will execute than fine .. any hdd external or internal on the PSY-Q, if there is a confliqt programm crash. Same on the H2700.
As i say i cross test it with and without hardware dongle. You cant execute anything on the emu without the dongle. A commen task back in the days.
