This fundraiser is multiple lots we have been offered for our museum, most of these are extremely early systems, and many contain unreleased games and history that would other wise be lost.

The goal for this is split into groups, we have awhile to sort this one and lots would be paid as funded. The total includes paypal fee's added and shipping costs included excluding taxes, we put 10% as we're often charged different rates depending on donators locations.

List of Genesis games that -don't- use any DMA?

Is there a list of games somewhere that don't use DMA operations? It's probably a very short list, if so. :) But it would help me diagnose some hardware issues I'm having that are related to the B18 /AS on the cart slot.

Any interesting homebrew games or effects demos that don't use DMA would also be useful. Thanks!

I've done some experimenting with my first revision WIP cartridge that relies on !AS to trigger cart !OE (so the 68000 correctly outputs, but the DMA is ignored) which may help anyone doing any emulation/hardware work relating to DMA or the !AS signal:

Fully working without DMA:
Syd of Valis
Duke Nukem

Player sprite needs DMA, but not background: (title screens and intros work as well)
Mr. Nutz prototype
Mobius Evolution (and I assume all Sonic 1 games and mods)
Bubsy 1
Ecco: The Tides of Time
Zero Tolerance (only the FPS gun sprite needs it)

Background tiles need DMA but not character sprites:
Awesome Possum (title works and speech, but not backgrounds)

Heavily reliant on DMA:
Mega Turrican, opening marquees don't require DMA. Ingame tiles and sprites do. Shows a solid coloured screen without DMA.
Overdrive by TiTAN (of course :) )

I have a build of Tanglewood that doesn't use DMA, since my devkit has slow EPROM and doesn't support DMA direct from cartridge. I'll grab it off my dev machine when I'm back in the office.
