I haven't seen a lot of photos online of the PARTNER-CTR Capture Debugger-2 8G model so here are some.
This is a unit that most likely was ordered as a 2G debugger only and sent back to nintendo for upgrading to Capture and 8G. It has a sticker on top of where the text is normally with the text "PARTNER-CTR Capture Debugger"

The 8G model has an internal Fan

CTR09A-CAP-05
This board has the 2 DVI connectors, Wii AV connector and USB for capturing screenshots/video
It has an FPGA and a 2 GB DDR2 Ram stick

CTR09C-TRG-01
This board has the SD card slot, power led, the two connectors for the dummy controller unit, a switch for the 2 AA batteries and the main power input (Wii power brick)

CTR09B-SUB-CARD-01
This houses the gamecard slot, IR sensor connector (10-pin header), debug controller connector and the 2 AA batteries.

CTR09C-EMU-02
This board has 4 DDR3 Ram slots, with two of them populated with 4 GB sticks for a total of 8GB.
The memory is used for emulating gamecards. This supports games up to 8GB in size.

CTR09A-CPU
This board has the USB connector for debugging. (3DS CPU as well or just debugging?)

CTR09A-CAP-05 and CTR09C-TRG-01 removed, showing CTR09A-CPU at the bottom

All boards removed showing fan.
The fan is blowing on the big heatsink on the CTR09C-EMU-02 board.

Most boards in the 2G variant are the same/similar, but CTR09C-EMU-02 looks completely different.
The 2G version does not have a fan and is silent when powered on, while this has a small noisy fan.

I still need to see if I can swap the memory in my 2G Debugger. I certainly ran into the limit trying to write a larger ROM to a flash cart.

I just disassembled a 2G non -2 "PARTNER-CTR Capture Debugger" as well. All boards except the EMU board were the same.
Instead of using the CTR09C-EMU-02 it had a CTR09A-EMU board in it.

This board is a lot smaller, only has 1 slot for memory and uses DDR2 instead of DDR3. I was planning on testing it with a 4 GB stick, but I do not have any 4 GB DDR2 SO-DIMM on hand.
