Hey guys,

I have a ps1, a Sharklink cable, and a GameShark CDX card. I'm trying to connect it to my dell latitude d630 laptop so I can download and upload codes rather than type them all individually. But I keep getting a console did not respond error whenever I try to detect the CDX card and the GameShark screen freezes as well.
Has anyone gotten the shark link to work?
I could use some help on getting this to work for me. Thanks!

Are you using a serial to USB converter? I have some stuff to move around before I can get to messing with mine.

UPDATE: Having the same problem. Now I am not even sure I ever got the Sharklink to work. The parallel version with ISA card did though.

Thanks for trying! Appreciate it.
No, not using a serial to USB converter, I have a com port on my laptop. So it was a direct connection from ps1 serial to laptop com port.
I also just built a serial cable to USB using the Sparkfun ft232rl breakout board but haven't tried it since the weekend weather was nice here in New England. Will try that when I get the chance.
