PS2 DTL-H TEST Thread

and what's the purpose? documenting? repairing? usage? all? something else? ...
 
Mainly Documenting and Usage, although I'd assume pretty much everything.

I have just acquired a PS2 DTL H5002 Pal
can anyone please tell me what it is capable of
its very hard to find any information on this console
the guy I acquired it from said he’s had it burried away for 15 years and he was a developer who got it from a company that went under but didn’t say which
I would like to know what it can do
what it can play etc
lim new to this scene any help or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated

Hello and welcome to the forums.
In short, it can play PS2 and PS1 original games from any regions, master patched backups of PS2 games, PS1 backups, and it's probably compatible with the software that uses the expansion bay hdd, such as the japanese PSBBN for example.

Also it can't read Video-DVD.

When you say master patched would i be able to just have an iso of the game and run the patcher version 3 n the iso before burn
I take it from reading about and then burn to dvd-r?
I'm probably just gonna play retail tho as want to preserve the console as much as I can
 
Yes, you patch a cd/dvd .iso with that utility, it's also useful if you want to run homebrew on your unit.
And if you really want to preserve your laser, you should find a network adapter and a harddrive for it.
 
Console arrived looks pretty clean no dust anywhere, can't of been used much
