Hi,

I am trying to make a PS3 'not for sale / demo disc' blu-ray list.

First of all, let's start by understanding the PS3 game's codes:

Europe

Europe had 'not for sale' discs of type BCED, BCET and BLED. Mainly, they are magazine demo discs that were bundled with the Official PlayStation Magazine of the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany, but there's some exceptions with standalone game demo discs produced for several FIFA entries and also a standalone demo disc made for Vanquish.

Note that some magazine discs with the same BCED code have different labels on top depending on the territory they were made for: OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE ISSUE X was printed on UK discs and OPSM BLU-RAY DEMO was used on the discs distributed on the rest of Europe. Also, the discs were packaged differently depending on the country. Italy packaged them in regular PS3 game cases, Spain in slim CD cases and UK in plastic sleeves with inserts.

Last but not least there's the "Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Special Event Version: GT by Citroën", a disc given in a Citroën event in France to high-ranking employees of the car manufacturer. It's believed that there were only a handful of these produced (less than 50 copies).

Japan

Japan saw some trial version blu-rays with codes BLJX and BCJX. Some of these discs have known stories behind them, some remain a mistery (at least to me).

"Winning Eleven 2009 Trial Version Adidas Edition" was given from november 20, 2008 onwards to customers who purchased 5000 yen or more worth of Adidas equipment in one of the 10 Adidas shops or one of the 13 KAMO shops that joined the promotion.

"Gran Turismo HD Concept Installation Disc" was available for free on japanese videogame stores back in 2006 to create buzz for the next entry in the Gran Turismo series, which was finally called Gran Turismo 5.

"Final Fantasy XIII Trial Version" was bundled exclusively with the "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete" Blu-ray movie disc. No other playable demo was ever released outside of Japan, making this the only demo available for the game both digitally and phisically.

"Square Enix Magazine Demo Disc vol. 1" was free to rent in Tsutaya stores from August 12, 2010 onwards. Additionally, 1.000 copies of this disc were made available to the Famitsu magazine readers.

"From Software HD Visual Preview Disc" was given to purchasers of the PlayStation 3 on launch day at select retailers.

"Gran Turismo 6 Special Disc" was a free rental at the japanese retailer TSUTAYA back in 2013, before the game launch.

USA

USA saw some Blu-ray discs produced for over-the-counter display of the PS3 (Welcome to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Network), demo discs aimed at stores' pods (Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters Demo Disc) and discs that were given to customers when pre-ordering certain games (Pure Demo Disc, for example).

There's also the "Trade Demos" which were used in fairs to display upcoming games at the time.

If it isn't printed on the disc then dump it as already mentioned.
PS3_DISC.SFB file should have title ID information iirc.
