Note: I decided to try using my Sony Vaio's built-in Yamaha AC-XG for this game, just because I wanted to see what it sounds like, and since the game has support for that chip. I'm not sure if it makes a difference in terms of the way it's rendered, but it does seem like the AC-XG has better overall sound quality compared to the Sound Blaster Live!, which is what I normally use.
