This is a general thread to post your work.

I think I've reached peak modbo install at this point!

Something better could be done with Y/CX/SX, but first fat PS2 I've ever done somehow; no reference lol.

Old pics. Not documented anything in ages and don't really do much work on consoles anymore.

Some ps2 installs, some Saturn's and a ps1 bios swap that the customer wanted "unable to tell it had been done"

Definitely my weirdest work yet, not sure if it's been done this way. Boredom...

Will try to find closer alts for 5/6 next time maybe.

PSIO switchboard install, definitely not for beginners and I don't think this is really much of a marketable product that you have to do all this to use it for most people. 3 traces need to be cut and 4 vias need to be scraped and soldered to. Beware noobs ;)

I had some initial issues as well, the parallel port was a bit corroded which was frustrating thinking it was an install issue. If you can't get it to boot then use 95%+ isopropyl and a brush to clean it and let it dry-mine was not obvious. My SD card also didn't want to work correctly either, but after sorting those two issues it's working great. You just simply make a folder on the root directory for each game then place the BIN/CUE files into it.

DCHDMI in a Sega Sports, 50 inch TV.

A region-free BIOS, battery holder and PTPC fuse will be installed as well.

Readymade flat flex cables in a wiring thread are cheating :p

I see you're working with a microscope. Been thinking about getting one myself. Any recommendations on what to look out for?

I would say anything stereo with a boom stand, but spend a few hundred dollars at least. I use an Amscope, don't remember the model but it was about $250. I tried some <$100 solutions they are a complete joke. Having a microscope is borderline cheating, I couldn't imagine ever going back. Even if I'm doing something quickly I still check under the scope to be sure afterwards.

I came across a SCPH-90006 from Hong Kong in a lot and found this inside. It was perplexing because I had tried to test if it would read discs by using USA disc which it did, but the menu came up in Chinese and when I turned it around I saw it 220v so after swapping that with 120v and testing a few combinations of imports and backups I found this supposed Mars clone. Odd that the soldering was pretty good but they managed to burn off a pad of the chip...

This was my first mod in recent years. Was a bit tough but I followed along to Voultar's install video and made it happen. Worked on the first try and then I modded another one ps1 and that was a lot easier.

Love your wiring jobs! Super clean!

Just did a Xeno on my gamecube last night. Saw this suggestion on YouTube to wire it this way as it's easier to fix if you mess up.

This is how I do mine, but next time unscrew the lower right corner screw, and screw the xenoGC down to permanently hold it in place. Put insulating tape under it as there's a 5v point near that area underneath, to be safe. Don't have a picture handy to explain but I never do the QSB install. People may want to remove it later as well.
