XDK 360 Minimum Recovery Version per Mainboard Revision - Overview

Dear all,

Attached you will find a list of the from my experience working minimum ISO / Remote Recovery Versions for the respective XDK Revisions:

Xenon Finals: 1888.0_Xenon_Recovery.iso (Tested on a XDK with MFR-Date - November '05)

Zephyr Stress Kits / Finals: 4929_Xenon_Recovery_With_Symbols.zip (some Final Zephyrs can have issues with 4929 try 5426)

Falcon Stress Kits: 6995_Xenon_Recovery_with_Symbols.zip or XDKRecoveryXenon6995.exe

Jasper Stress Kits / Finals: 7776.1_Xenon_Recovery_With_Symbols.zip

Trinity Stress Kits / Finals: 11511_Xenon_Recovery_with_Symbols.zip - with Retail Kernel - 2.0.11025.0 - lowest known possible Flash on some Slim Beta Kits is XDK Flash 9177.0 with a Retail Kernel 2.0.9177.0 however no known Xenon Recovery is leaked to Date

Corona Stress Kits / Finals: 20871.2_Xenon_Recovery.iso or XDKRecoveryXenon20871.2.exe

Winchester Stress Kits: 21256.3_Xenon_Recovery.iso


Please keep in mind that lowest working recovery might differ from the list above depeding on the manufactoring date of your falcon, jasper or trinity board.
Moreover downgrading your XDK from a higher Recovery Version to a lower one can brick your console or result in unwanted behavior like freezing, shutdowns, no boot. Therefore I highly recommend to create a NAND-Dump of your XDK before downgrading to any recovery lower than the current one on your flash.

I thought trinity XDKs could access slightly lower below 11511 (An XDK recovery containing version 9199 of the retail dash I think, since some retail slims had 9199)

on my corona stress-kit the lowest i got to actually work is 20871.2 that recovery has dash 13599 and 14448

Thank you for the input. However I am here covering the lowest possible public Xenon Recoveries.

As to Date no 9199 or 9177 Xenon_Recoveries has been released - nor can I confirm that these recoveries will fully work on final trinity Kits as the MFR-Date has to be taken into consideration.

@RtFM i was saying that's the retail dash version. But actually, you are correct, as 11511 is the lowest recovery a trinity can use (since there's no recovery below 11511 that supports 9199)

Just to add to the above discussion regarding 9199, I was able to downgrade my slim final (mfg 30-3-2011) from 17489 to 9199 using 11775.3 remote recovery. It contains both 12387 & 9199 flash versions despite being a higher XDK recovery.
