I usually look on ebay for prototype disks or dev kits, but I always end up finding dev kits that dont have anything or game disks that dont have anything no one has already found. So I was wondering how the "pros" of finding this stuff do it?

Look for kits with asset tags. It's always a gamble, though. Most kits are wiped, but you can recover them, if you haven't already.

I think every regular Joe collector who doesn't have inside connections, a hand in somebody's pocket or isn't pretty rich, is afriad to admit it most often comes down to being at the right place at the right time. Basically being lucky.

Also, what have helped me the most is to get to know other collectors and just ask around. Help each other out. :)
I bet half my beta collection is by help from other people.

I agree that knowing people helps and also being frineds with developers. My other tip is trades if you got somthing worthy to the collector in question you can trade it with them and then you both get somthing new
