PlayStation 3 Super Slim dual eye laser vs single eye laser duration when playing DVDs

I've learned that some PlayStation 3 Super Slim models have the single eye laser.

My cousin has the model CECH-4304C with date code 4C that have the single eye laser.

Can the single eye laser worn out much faster than the dual eye laser if the console is used for playing DVDs more than playing PS3 games on it? Can this thing affect the PS3 gaming part laser?

For the single one, I think that the laser somehow must adjust the beam depending on the type of the media? Or how does it work?

Can someone help me please?
